But those are First-Class programs.  Try mailx for something really
second-class (or mutt or pine which are a step up).  Actually I'm quite
satisfied with mutt, which has folders and threading.  I use procmail
for filtering and spamassassin, which is >99% effective in stopping
spam (I finally found something which works!).  For browsing, lynx or
links are similar (none of that graphics stuff!)
