Well, I sent off the application certified mail with return receipt to
Mellon Bank this afternoon, and here's the 3 I picked in order (wasn't too
crazy about the rest I was looking into):
1. (I ain't tellin 'till they process my application)
2. W0JRM
3. N0GZ
I liked how a lot of the others I was looking at would sound on CW, but I
didn't like how easily the letters could be confused with other letters.
Like K0IY for example. When your prefix is "KC", you get tired of everyone
thinking you said "whiskey", so I didn't want something that could easily
be confused. Like thinking I said "II" in the case of K0IY. That *could*
happen with the one I want to get (#1), but I just liked the way it rolled
off the tongue when you say it :^) Plus it's kinda odd-ballish so people
might not immediately know it's a vanity call ;^)
p.s. - if anyone is really curious, the one I want ends with a "B". I know
a lot of you told me not to get a call ending in a dit because it might get
confused in a contest. But like I said, I don't contest that much anyway
so it really doesn't matter :^)
