The US failed once again to join elite status in World Cup action.

ESPN headline reads "Second-best Americans escape"  (It really does)

Despite valiant effort to join Argentina, France and Brazil as elimination
round spectators, the US side benefits from last minute Korean heroics.

Learning to think outside the box precludes thinking inside the box.  When
told they would have to win high balls inside the "six",  the US stated that
was too early for serious drinking and elected to show up at 0900 EDT.
