Rob,

The speech states that the police does not use the sirens "when chasing someone
on the freeway".
So I assume that when not on a freeway, they are using the sirens.
So it seems that the speed of sound is different depending of the location ;o))

Sorry ... I know this will not help you computing the real speed of sound and
the real speed of these cars but ... the life is so cruel ...
