Was watching a police chase on KNBC or KABC or something (get the NY and LA network
channels on my dish), and heard a HEAD ANCHORMAN state: "The reason the police don't
use the sirens when chasing someone on the freeway is because by the time the sound
gets to you, you have already been passed by the police car due to how fast they are
going."

How freakin' fast are these guys going????  I'm pretty sure that 120mph isn't faster
than the speed of sound :^)

What's even more SOC is that it took me so damn long to realize how stupid that
comment was :^)  (I'll save face and not mention how many weeks it was....)
