Try an extremely hard red one, bowled at times about 140 Km/PH or about 85 - 90
mph, a broken jaw, fingers etc. are definite maybes...

Never, flannel trousers etc. We *are* gentlemen...

It's called a "bat" and is fabricated from the very best wood from a willow
tree.
It's not a game but an absolute science. Requires (at an international level)
skills akin to a chess master.
Being good at bowling or good with the bat are insufficient skills. Games often
last five days. Your team may be well in front at the beginning of the last day
and end up losing. Tactics, psychology etc. all play a role. It is frequently a
battle of wits between the bowler and batsmen, who is mentally going to get the
upper hand?
A modified version, purely for TV, involves each team facing 250 balls over 4
hours. Surprising how many games are decided on the very last ball bowled late
at night.
