[SOC] Cricket more

Claude - Having to learn English as a second language is difficult enough
(it must have been fascinating seeing what English had done with all of the
French and Latin words stolen over the centuries!), but to start out with
a Cricket text strikes me as something close to sadism! I've taught English
(and its pronunciation) to speakers of several languages. It made me VERY
glad that I had not had to learn it the hard way (i.e., after puberty).
I think we have too many sports. I have studied German and Japanese at various
times (also Latin and Spanish, but not as seriously). I find that as soon
as I quit using them I start forgetting them. Thanks for the info on the
upcoming soccer matches. I have really enjoyed the few I have managed to find
to watch. Did the Olympics include soccer? It seems to be the one genuinely
