Always knew the boy was a legend, a man of great taste and distinction.

This Wednesday night is round 2 of the "State of Origin". Queensland Vs New
South Wales.

You're selected (if you're real good) solely on the basis of where you were
"originally" registered as a 16 year old kid, i.e. NSW or Qld. For most it's
where they've always lived.

It is champagne Rugby League. For reasons no one is able to define, it creates
more passion in players than playing for their regular teams or even playing for
Australia against Britain, France (in the past) or New Zealand.

They'll play with broken arms, broken jaws whatever. Every player rises above
himself to play at a new level.

Of course we (NSW) will win...

Bring on the beer and snacks.
