Yep. it's a good place alright. I have been listening to existing traffic on
this band (our Ministry of Defence use it for Army Cadets and Juniors to
learn radio and keep in touch with base when on summer camps etc.), and it
seems to be an excellent band for semi-local near vertical signal stuff
(within state and next-door state in your terms). Very good signals from
primative low antennas.
