OK about snow stopping the new trains. There is also another new class of
train here called a 'Virgin Voyager'. Three of these wonderful multi-million
pound 125mph machines came to a total standstill in Devon, where the railway
runs along the sea wall. Some brain surgeon had designed the trains with the
rheostatic radiators for the electric brakes up on the rooftop.
So although heavy snow may come as a surprise, in the UK, water falling from
above in large quantities is 'the norm'.
