Mon Ami Claude:
5cm of snow?!?!?!? Paris shut down?!?!?!? Claude, Claude, Claude....
Up here where I live, anything less than 15cm is considered a "light
dusting" and hardly worth mentioning. Now 30cm of snow is considered a
decent snowfall. If we get a good Nor'Easter off of Lake Huron, and
conditions are just right, I have seen us get around 50cm during a 12 hour
period. That coupled with a good 60km/hr wind makes it drift up real nice!
Now THAT is a snow storm!!!
BTW, the winter up here has been VERY mild so far, hardly any snow. But the
real "snow season" is in about 2 weeks or so. Then we will get our snow.
