You will never explain cricket to Americans, Paul, no more than pantomime.
Over there they are still trying to hit a spinning spherical ball with a
cylindrical club, and expect to control which way it goes.
They have three tries, but the ball still usually goes either straight up,
or slams into the ground near the batsman's feet.
You think they would have figured it out by now (shakes head sadly in
despair).
