Did any of the CQ subscribers around here catch this month's zero bias
column and read that glowing editorial on why we should latch on to a
proposal to move 40 down because "it would be great for ham radio"?
Here's the best tidbit: "Some of us might be squeezed out of any 'new'
frequencies below 7 MHz until we buy new radios." Sure, maybe he's got a
big enough piggy bank laying around to buy a new rig but I sure don't.
I gotta disagree with him when he says it's "an acceptable compromise", and
especially when he says it'll make 40 a better place to operate. Sure
there'll be less QRM... people with boatanchors will be left out in the
cold!
