This may sound silly but the beeps are significant (sort of like cw) the
frequency and duration of the beeps can be used as a diagnostic tool.

Any idea what version BIOS it is? Search through Google for the motherboard mfr,
see if you can find your version and hopefully your manual.

Worth a try.

For everyone else lacking documentation, next time you boot up press Ctrl+Pause
and at the bottom of the screen you should see your BIOS version at the bottom
of the screen. Write it down on a label and affix to your 'puter. Open up your
computer to try and identify mfr and motherboard version, search Google and
hopefully find a pdf of your manual. Save it *AND* print it out.
