  A really simple 6m wire antenna is the Sterba "curtain" antenna. I saw it in World Radio a couple of years ago. It's just
wire - a LOT of wire - but it works. It is rather narrow in frequency, though - you can set the lengths for 50.200, but your
SWR at 52.525 would be something like 2:1 or worse.

  The basic idea behind the curtain antenna is loops... lots of loops, each loop being one full wavelength (I think), connect
each loop with ladderline that has one half-twist except the ends, and feed it in the middle.

  If you made 3 or 5 loops, it'd have a fair amount of gain, perpendicular to the loops.
