The next quarterly SMARC Technical Training Session is scheduled for 
Friday, 13 October 2023!

Who:     Southern Maryland Amateur Radio Club (SMARC)

What:    Technical Training Session: Antenna Physics, Presenter: Bill – 
W8BL.

Bill will review the science behind the workings of antennas.

After the session, a fine dinner of hot dogs and sides will tempt you to 
stay and mingle with the other folks.

Where:  Home of Vic & Linda Curtis, 12701 Molly Berry Rd, Upper 
Marlboro, MD 20772. Talk-in via the W3SMR repeater: 147.15 MHz (+), Tone 
114.8 Hz.

When:   Friday, 13 October 2023, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  Please plan to 
arrive between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Why: Promote technical knowledge in the amateur radio community.

How: Indicate your interest in attending via return email directly to 
humbert1js at gmail.com, then be there on 13 October.

Notes:

*All are welcome! You do not have to be a SMARC member to attend the 
training session.

*Please bring a lawn or folding chair for yourself to help ensure 
adequate seating.

*A donation of $2.00/person is requested to cover cost of refreshments.
