[SMCARA] Tailgate Fest Update

Good Morning SMCARA,

 We held our finalplanning session for the Tailgate Fest at the meeting last night with 8 membersin attendance. Hopefully we have a better turnout this afternoon for setup andtomorrow morning for the event itself. This is the one event the club holdsthroughout the year in which we have a lot of interaction with the generalpublic and other clubs so it is important that we have enough club members onhand to help it run smoothly. 

With that said, we have a setup session tonight at theHollywood Volunteer Fire Department (HVFD) mainhall starting at 1730. We need people to help setup the tables chairs, theparking area, put signs out, etc. 

For tomorrow, we need some folks to show up at 0630 at theHVFD to help with registration, manning the coffee and doughnut table, and thetalk-in radio on the 640 repeater. Also, we  need a portable PA system if anyone has one. Whileat the event tomorrow, if people take any pictures, please email them to me at:n2omc at arrl.net so we can get them on the club’s website with a write-up. And ifyou reserved a table and are not able to be there by 0900, please let myself orDan know so we don’t sell your table. You can call me at: 301-643-6561, or callDan at: 301-247-1083, or call in on the 640 repeater and advise. 
I know everyone has a lot going on this time of year but we needsupport for this event to help it run smoothly. Even if you only have a few hoursto help out, please stop by and lend a hand tonight and/or tomorrow.
