[SMCARA] Field Day Update

Good Afternoon Folks! Hope everyone is having a good weekend in spite of the rain. This year, since the restrictions have been lifted, we plan to do Field Day in person! We are not able to use the Hollywood VFD or the Museum this year. With that said, we have a generous offer from one of our club members in Piney Point, John AC3FE to use his property for the event.  He has a lot of open field space for operating and parking and hIs address is: 17359 Goddards Lane, Piney Point. 

This year, Field Day falls on the weekend of 26-27 June. Our goal is to show up at John's around 0800 on Saturday and start setting up. In order to plan for the event, we are going to make FD the topic for the next few club nets starting this Tuesday. So if you have an interest in helping to plan for it, please check into the nets. 

In the next week, I'll send out a recommended equipment list for everyone to consider as we line up equipment and supplies for the event. I am extremely happy that we can do the event in person this year. While working from home last year was fun, we all missed the social aspect of FD which is its biggest draw!
