That was certainly great results last night !  The move to a full time talkgroup, name change and some good PR especially with the Worcester group made a huge difference !  Very encouraging.

Thanks to Bob, K3RLW, for being net control this past Thursday evening. Our bold move to switch to Maryland State Talkgroup 3124 with our new name, Mid-Atlantic DMR Net, is seeing results. We had 21 check-ins, 7 of which were new check-ins that have been added to this email list. Some information will be repeated from previous messages to catch up the new recipients of this email.



This coming week, February 4, I am scheduled to be your net control. After attending his first net on the Mid-Atlantic Net on January 21, Bob Luff, W3GAC, has volunteered to be net control on February 11. Way to go Bob and many thanks. I am looking forward to your helping us. We still have a net control opening for February 18. The dates are listed below. If you can commit to being net control for any of those dates, please email me with the date/dates of your choice. With your help we will be able to grow this net and increase our attendance. Please spread the word to other DMR hams about our net and ask them to join us so we can all grow together in the DMR hobby. Suggestions to improve the net are also solicited. The offer for any group to assume control for conducting the net is still valid. Please contact me, Ross, if there is interest in taking control of the net at rrhodesjr at atlanticbb.net. The email addresses of the 3 other founding members of the net may be found on QRZ.com. The other members are Ed, W3ETC; Ed, N1AHO; or Bob, K3RLW.
