Good Afternoon Folks! Well the marathon is this coming Sunday, 10 March. We have a good group of folks helping out but could use one more ham. We will be operating in the Piney Point area from 7:15am - 1:00pm. If you are able to help out during that time or part of that time, let me know. We will be using the 147.390 repeater as the primary and the 146.640 repeater as the secondary.

Folks, I was asked by Liza Recto if SMCARA would be supporting this event again this year. I advised we would so I want to get the ball rolling on lining up support for the event. 

The race will take place on Sunday, 10 March with the start/finish line located at Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship. Start time is 0715 and they close the course at 1300. I'm pretty sure Bill Merritt ran it last year. Bill, not sure if you're willing to run the effort again this year? If not, I will be glad to. 

We should be able to use the 64 repeater to support this event. We will need a net control station and a number of operators posted along the route for rest/water stops. Liza did advise that the race is smaller this year and they have less than 100 runners signed up to date. 

If you are available that day and would like to help out, please let me know. Even if you can't commit for the entire time we can plug you in at one of the locations for the time you are available.
