Both my son and I have the ID-880H mounted in our trucks.  His will stop
receiving when listening to a conservation about every 5 seconds or so.  I
had this happen to me when I first got my radio and Wes and Dan were able
to point me in the right direction about the Priority setting.

We have spent hours trying to figure his out by both manually going through
the menus and with RT Systems software.

We know about the Priority Watch and the Weather Alert and have those
turned off but it still drops out as if one of them were turned on.

The manual discusses 4 priority watch types.  Memory/Call Channel Watch,
Memory Scan Watch, VFO Scan Watch and DR Mode Watch.  I can't find anywhere
in the manual if the Priority Watch is for all of these or if there are
settings somewhere for each.  Also don't know how to check for a Priority
Watch on a VFO scan.  The only way I can think of would to be to dial in
*every* frequency and see if the if the Priority indicator shows up on the
display.

I assumed having the Priority Watch off would stop all checking for
anything every few seconds.  Of course you know what assume means.
