Bob, Yaesu has two different radios that meet your criteria. The FT-991
and FT-857 both meet your requirements. The 857 is smaller and listed as a
mobile and 991 is listed as portable.

I have the 857 and have used it as my base station until I bought a
FTdx3000. When looking to buy a base station the 991 was my second choice
but since I have the 857 I decided on the 3000.

I've had good luck with the 857 and as they say "I've made contacts all
over the world with it." as well as talking on simplex and the repeaters.
I haven't talked to anyone who has the 991 but it may have better filters
and such. If I were doing it again right now I'd go for the FT-991.

I'm only talking Yaesu and have no experience with other brands.

Dave W3DLQ
