I recommend you look into DSTAR and FUSION radios also. ID-51A plus is highly recommended with DSTAR. FT2DR is highly recommended for FUSION. These both cost more than an FT-60. If you are looking to save money a low cost Baofung or Wouxun work good for low cost and occasional use. 73 de K3IH
