Good afternoon everyone.
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful Sunday. And to help you enjoy it
even more, I am offering up for sale a 60w solar charging system which
includes the following.
4-15w solar panels
1-Morningstar Sunsaver SS-10-12V 10A 12vdc solar charging controller
1-custom built parallel connector box.
Some of you may have seen this displayed by me on various field day
setups. Well, this is now excess to my needs and looking to sell it to
an operator that always wanted to get into solar but thought it was cost
prohibitive.
The breakdown: This was basically one of those 45w 3 panel systems you
see from Harbor Freight but, I tossed the old stink controller and put
in one of the best on the market. so if you went to harbor freight and
amazon here is what you would pay right now to get the equivalent.
199.99 for the 45W system (H.F)
69.00 for the 4th panel (H.F)
60.00 for the controller (Amazon)
The parallel connector box is on me but estimate 15 bucks for parts.
So right now you are looking at 343.99 without shipping. But since I
want to help a ham start on solar, I am willing to part with it for....
$150.00
Mind you this does NOT come with boxes, batteries, cables, boxes, frames
to finish the setup but, If you want it, I will throw in the wooded
frame I made for it FOR FREE! You just gotta take it with you. Also, I
can help you with how to set this up and what other items you may or may
not need depending on what you want to do with it. Either way, you are
getting the major chunk of an almost 400 buck working system for 150.00!
Now just so y'all know I'm playing fair, here is a link to the test
setup I did this afternoon to verify the operation. Here are the
pictures. (as usual, edit the url) (http)(://)tinyurl.com/zdblwzc
Picture 1 shows the solar controller and paralleling box. (Battery,
zerolemon, cables, other panels on lawn, or the wattsup NOT included.)
Picture 2 shows the paralleling box with two panels connected. its set
up for 4 panels.
Picture 3 shows the one output to the controller.
Picture 4 shows the live output to the "load" 13.83VDC
Picture 5 shows the output of the controller to the battery. It is
indeed charging it.
So if you think you have a use for it, the FIRST OFF LIST email can have
it (as determined by time stamp). Good luck!
73,
Ren...
