[SMCARA] D-Star RT-Systems S/W hints and kinks...

As many of you know, I'm back on D-Star with both an ID-5100A in the car and
an ID-51A plus HT. I ordered the RT Systems S/W for both radios and after
having used them both have a couple of notes.

For the ID-5100A: The N3PX Repeater's location is not correct in the "DR
Memories" database. Using Google Maps, I determined the correct location
(Hollywood Fire Department) - you'll need to edit the location to: Latitude
= 38<degrees>20'53"N and Longitude = 076<degrees>34'44"W.

For the ID-51A: First, make sure you install the version of S/W for the
ID-51A Plus. Again, in the "DR Memories" database (even after ensuring
everything was updated), only 3 repeaters show up for Maryland - according
to the D-StarUsers.org web-site, there are 10 repeaters in Maryland. Add
the additional repeaters to the DR Memories database. Assuming that this is
a more endemic error, if you're traveling to another state/country - you
might want to update the database for where you are traveling.

For both programs - for communicating (either send or receive) with your
radio, Save your programming and close the program. Do a restart on your
computer. Once you restart, plug in the USB side of your cable, Start the
program and ensure that the saved program you want is loaded, then select
communicate and follow the instructions. I kept getting an error, telling
me to make sure the cable was firmly in the USB port (wasn't recognizing the
USB cable). This was the only way I could make things work.

If you have both the ID-5100A and the ID-51A software, you can cut and paste
between the two sets of databases.

Any other hints and kinks???
