My experience has been that anything from Larsen is best.  I have a mag mount with a dual bander on it at the moment to use on my wife's car (no holes!).  I use a Larsen "thru the glass" dual bander on my truck and it works great.  That might be best if your Jeep is a rag top or has a fiberglass roof. I have seen them mounted on the front windshield up by the rear view mirror.  If you have a metal roof and don't mind punching a 3/4 inch hole, the NMO mount is the way to go. The various Larsen dual banders, 5/8 wave, or 1/4 wave whips screw on and off easily.  I have not had any experience with the trunk/door lip mounts, but they should be a good option.  Somewhere I remember seeing a motorized whip antenna mount that will allow you to lower the antenna from vertical to parallel with the roof.  An elegant, but I suspect expensive solution.

Regarding the CB antenna, if you must (anti CB bias acknowledged with appropriate "smiley face"!),  there should be minimal interaction if you keep the antennas at least a 1/2 wave (38 inches or so) apart.  If they wind up closer, you may notice a slight change in the antenna pattern or a detuning of the antenna, neither of which should make them unusable.

I have seen two meter antennas right up next to a CB mag mount and they probably work.  As I mentioned the pattern/tuning may be unpredictable, but you will get out.  Remember Clarke's first Law of Antennas states:  "If it looks/seems stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid."

  I want a 2 meter antenna for my jeep with a quick disconnect.  I currently have a mag mount but I'm looking to upgrade to something better.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Also I need a cb antenna, would that cause any issue with a 2m?
