[SMCARA] Field Day 2014

All,

I have received word that the Bingo Hall has been reserved for us for Field
Day 2014. Please consider participating in the planning in this annual
event by becoming a member of the Field Day Planning Committee. We are also
going to need an individual to head up the Field Day Planning Committee.
Please give this some thought as I would like to form the committee during
the business portion of the meeting on the 23rd of this month.

An early start can help in ensuring a successful and enjoyable event.

Items to consider for this year :

1) Make and take projects (one for current operators and one for visitors).
This was a huge success last year with the measuring tape antennas.

2) Advertising early to get the word out to the public.

3) Operating Schedule (Ensure we have a night crew of more than one
person). Security of everyone's gear should not be left to one individual.

4) Cleaning assignments. I have been told that one of the reasons the Fire
Department lets us use the facility as they do is that we have a tradition
of leaving the facility cleaner than it was before we got there.
