[SMCARA] Club Station Activation

Good Afternoon All,

As a means to recruit students for the upcoming classes the Executive
Committee proposes that we the Club activate the club station each
weekend in the month of January. We are working on handouts /
newsletters that can be handed out to those who seem interested in what
is going on at the club station.

There is a lot going on this month contest wise that might help in
providing on-air activity for example:

Jan 3 1800Z - Jan 4 2359Z ARRL RTTY roundup
exchange: RST and State

Jan 4 1800Z - Jan 4 2359Z ARRL Kids Day
exchange: Name, Age, location and favorite color
(certificates for the kids can be made available if the station is
activated during this time)

Jan 10 1800Z - Jan 11 0559Z North American QSO Party (CW edition)
exchange: Name and State

Jan 17 1800Z - Jan 18 0559Z North American QSO Party (Phone edition)
exchange: Name and State

Jan 24th 1900Z - Jan 25 1700Z Winter Field Day
exchange: Category, ARRL Section and local temp

Please let us know if you are able to help in this effort. I will be at
the club station after the breakfast on Saturday to install the digital
mode gear and stick around to operate a little of the RTTY roundup.
