[SMCARA] Repeater Questions

Listening on the radio, I thought a lot of interest was being given to DMR.
So what are the advantage and downsides to either. Both take up 12.5Khz
Bandwidth (DMR/System Fusion) as opposed to D-Star 6.25Khz.
