I'm definitely interested, but I'm still working on building my 40M radio. Not sure when I'm going to get a chance to finish it up.

I've been approached several times and asked to teach a CW (Morse Code)
class. The logistics of finding a classroom available when I can teach has
been a bit of a hassle, so I'm thinking about doing an on-air class.

The class would be 6 weeks long, on Mondays from 7:30 to 8:30 on one of the
local 2 meter repeaters.

The first 4 classes would be a full hour of teaching the code - the last two
would be 30 minutes of code on the repeaters followed by an optional 30-60
minutes of code on the 40M and/or 80M tech CW bands to do actual practice
QSOs (send and receive).

During the course, aside from the actual code, you would learn CW etiquette,
cut-numbers, Q-Codes, and other stuff you'd usually have to figure out on
your own. I'll also point you to the ARRL morse code practice
frequencies/dates/times.

What you'll need: For the code class on the repeater: A 2M radio, a notepad
and pencil.

For the HF: an HF station capable of 40M or 80M - connected to your radio: a
morse code key/keyer like this one: http://tinyurl.com/oubpwks

What you will NOT need: a cheat sheet

At the end of the course, there will be a test - if you pass the test,
you'll get a nice certificate and the knowledge that you can confidently get
on the air with CW and not seem like a complete lid.

If you would be interested in doing this - please reply to me.

Elmers - if you'd be interested in helping with the HF practice, let me
know.
