What are your goals with SATCOM? Arrow antenna makes a great little v/uhf
beam antenna that can connect to your HT and when your are done it
disassembles and can be packed away. Cost is somewhere near $120 if I
remember correctly.
Recently I have heard one active satellite since AO-51 went silent, that
being the Saudi Sat SO-50. There have been articles on QRZ of additional
satellites being launched shortly but I have not kept up with when they are
being launched if they have not already.
