I want to thank the incoming Leadership for coming up with the breakfast idea & for organizing so many of us as well as you did.  I know organizing such a large group can sometimes be like herding cats but everything seemed to go off without a hitch!  Well done!  I'd also like to thank Ray for the entertaining & informative tour of the EOC.  Stacey & I are looking forward to getting more involved with this aspect of ham radio as our time permits.  It truly was a great day all around.  Thanks to everyone for making it possible & we look forward to next months breakfast.

Subject: [SMCARA] Breakfast and EOC Walk-through and Training

Our breakfast this morning was very much enjoyed and well attended with 19
present. With such a successful turnout I propose that we make this a
monthly event occurring on the first Saturday of every month and I also
propose (based on input from my XYL) that we call it "Pigging out with the
Hams". If all agreed the next breakfast will be held on August 3rd at 8am.
Cracker Barrel did a fine job this morning so I recommend meeting there
again however we am open to suggestions. If you have a place in mind please
respond with the location and we will put it up for a vote via the club's
Facebook page.

As for the EOC training and walk-though, I would like to offer a huge THANK
YOU to Ray for taking the time to show us around both EOCs and answering
our many questions. I appreciate Ray's vision of having enough operator's
registered with the county to have two person teams at every location that
we are requested to supply communications for. Please if you have not done
so already go to https://files.secureserver.net/0fTCmR1gIdwCw5 and use
password: PublicService to fill out the required ARES / RACES forms and
send the completed forms to Ray (KB3FWW) at arbyone1 at gmail.com or myself at
kb3uun at gmail.com and I will forward them on to Ray. The more individuals we
have on the roster the better!

Again my family and I had a great time today and hope to see more of you at
the next breakfast / Event!

Amateur Radio has something for everyone. Even if it is just peace of mind
that no matter what happens your message will get through.
