Thanks to Walt for providing the minutes! A couple of observations:

1. The proposed 220 machine is not on the air yet and will be on
223.9/222.3 (220 uses 1.6 MHz split) and no tones. Pete has a new
controller and should be on the air soon.

2. 223.5 is the simplex channel, similar in use to .52 on 2M. Give a
listen, as there are a few stations locally on simplex.

3. The recommendation to use the repeater input frequency (146.04) as a
simplex channel during the time when K3HKI is off the air needs to be
revisited. Why not use the output (146.64) frequency? That way all the
mobiles and home stations are already listening there and no frequency
fiddling is needed. Don't forget to put 146.2 CTCSS (PL) on, since some
folks use receive PL to keep out the far away repeaters from opening the
squelch. Otherwise, the protocol should be to automatically go to one of
the simplex (.49 .52 .55, etc) frequencies or adjacent repeater (i.e.,
147.195). Put them all in the scanner and go get a cup of coffee!

4. See you at the SWAP Thursday; this is shaping up to be another
winner!
