Hi Grant,
Thanks for the report. We always appreciate the input, as that is how
we keep tabs on the general "health" of the machine.
As Dwayne mentioned, we replaced the old Motorola repeater with a not
quite as old GE repeater and are now working towards an even newer one.
These repeaters are somewhat akin to our mouths - some old teeth in
there and a few slightly newer ones, all working together!
We are happy to have you folks from "across the river" join our group
over here and enjoy your participation. We have some ideas about a
remote receiver over there to make it a bit easier to get in and fill in
some holes.
These things are an obsession it seems! Never quite satisfied and
always looking for the next way to improve it! It's all fun, tho!

Subject: [SMCARA] 64 repeater signal
Hi all,
Just wanted to give you a report on the 64 machine from Westmoreland
Co.
Va.
The signal has suddenly improved back to what it used to be a year ago.
The 64 repeater is again usable up to King George with a dead spot
around
hwy 301 but then its usable again between King George and
Fredericksburg.
It is also working well along the Rappahannock river from Port Royal to
Tappahannock.
I am now using the repeater from my place of work at Leedstown with my
VX7
and a 18 watt amp again like it used to be.
Whatever changes you have made to the repeater have put it back up to
snuff
like it used to be.
73 and I will let you know if I see any changes from over here.

Grant
