Grant,

That is good news to hear. While we replaced the old repeater about two
years ago, the newer one is still a repeater from the early 80's (now 30
years old). While it works well, it still requires yearly maintenance which
we were behind on. Tom (W4OKW) made a stop there last week and checked the
wires and harnesses that corrected the issues at hand.

We have a plan to replace this repeater with one from the mid 90's in the
next few months and hopefully this new one will only require maintenance
every 5 years. To the user, there will be no noticeable change, just
upgraded equipment that should be more reliable.

We're also looking at the possibility of battery backup. So when the AC
fails, the repeater will have several days of battery backup with the TX
running lower RF power. Tom has made similar circuits in the past and this
repeater would be a great candidate for the same capability.
