[SMCARA] Field Day Rule Change

 Gene,

We always need the "Rocket Launcher" and beam! That may be the six
meter beam I am thinking of. Better to have too many poles, than not
enough. I'll bring mine also. If you have any long coax, that will
help.

There is a 5 el 6 meter beam tied to the tower at the Fire House. We
used it about 5 years ago. I also have two sets of the green metal
poles that could be used. I guess you want me to bring my rocket
launcher tower and beam? I have not been able to make the meetings and
I don't know what I need to bring for field day.

Is 6M considered VHF in this case? If so it might be worth putting up a
six meter beam and with all the Icom 7Ks and 706s floating about, a rig
would be easy.

My green Army mast would handle a beam at about 20 feet. There would be
plenty of Armstrong rotators available! The club's beam was parked
behind the museum when last seen, so that is available.

Hi All, It looks like the rules this year allow a free VHF station and
you can score points with it.
