[SMCARA] CAT cable, HRD, PTT

I have purchased a CAT cable for my FT-890 and have it talking to Ham Radio
Deluxe. I don't have my antenna back up yet so I haven't tried transmitting
yet, but am curious to know if HRD uses the CAT PTT to toggle the
transmitter on and off.

If so I have the materials to make the audio cable to run from my radio to
my sound card and can be digital by the end of the week. If not I may have
to fork out the money to buy a signalink and it will be next week until I
can do digital.
