[SMCARA] SMCARA club meeting this Thursday at 7:30 PM

Hi folks,

  Just a quick reminder about the upcoming St. Mary's County Amateur Radio
Association (SMCARA) monthly meeting for February.  This meeting will be
held THIS Thursday evening, 24 February, beginning promptly at 7:30 PM
in the conference room of the Naval Air Museum in Lexington Park.

  Our guest speaker for the evening is Richard 'Boz' Bozovich (KG3BOZ) who
will be giving us a presentation on the art of QSL'ing.  He will share
his insights on where to obtain the cards, the types of confirmation
systems currently in use (direct mail, eQSL, Logbook Of The World,
etc.), how to send cards, how to receive them (direct mail, bureau,
etc.), and a whole lot more.  Please plan to attend now to learn all
about this fun aspect of the hobby.  It would be great to have a good
turnout for this special presentation.

  We will also be sharing some suggestions from our members about the
planned new club display and much more.

  I hope to see all of you this coming Thursday evening!
