Hi All,
There is an interesting PSK-63 contest happening in a few months.
The full rules can be found here: http://www.epcwwdx.srars.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=44&Itemid=59
The contest starts at 12:00 (UTC) on May 2nd, and ends at 12:00 (UTC) on June 2nd.
Points are awarded for each contact (see the rules for the different points awarded) and multipliers are each DXCC country on each band. If you need any help interpreting the rules, I'll be happy to help...
What makes this interesting is the length of the contest (1 month). So you can work a few stations every day, at your leisure, and still have a half-decent score. This would also be a great way to increase your DXCC-Digital overall and digital counts as it is open to stations around the world.
This is an HF contest, so you'll need at least a General class ticket - if you need some help upgrading to General, I'll be happy to assist.
This is a digital (BPSK63) contest, so you'll need those capabilities on your station. I'm sure there are several folks (volunteers jump in here) in the club who would be happy to help you get set up in this mode (all it takes is a computer with a soundcard, one of several free downloadable digital programs - such as Ham Radio Deluxe, and a way to key your rig - a simple circuit can be built to do this).
This contest is sponsored by the European PSK Club (EPC). You don't have to be a member, but if you want to sign up (its free), here is where you can do that... http://www.eupsk.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=5
Hope to see some of you on the air during the contest.
