K2BSA Repeater Frequencies at Fort A.P. Hill during the 2010 National Scout Jamboree

The K2BSA staff will monitor the 2M and 70CM repeaters 24 hours a day for routine traffic and emergency situations.   

  a.. Two Meters: 145.17 -600KHz shift -  PL 100.0 Hz - monitored 24/7 - Jamboree Net 1900 each evening
  b.. 70 cm: 442.90 +5MHz shift - PL 100.0 Hz
Jamboree Net

 Each evening at 1900 local, the K2BSA staff will run a Jamboree net on the repeaters.  This brief (half hour or so) formal net will provide practice in case of emergency and will tie the regions and sub camps together with ham radio.

The net operation will include the following:

Regular operation to encourage community feeling by on-site non-radio staff hams. 

  a.. Announcements of upcoming Jamboree and operating events. 
  b.. K2BSA schedule including licensing sessions. 
  c.. The weather. 
  d.. Top Jamboree staff announcements that can be relayed to sub camps. 
  e.. Incoming messages for the sub camps, as time and availability of a sub camp operator permit. 
  f.. Regular announcements will provide a vehicle to spike the rumor mill.
