Greetings all, I wanted to take a moment and ask for some input and
participation in establishing a weekly 2 meter net on the club repeater. I
spoke with Pete following our January meeting concerning this as I think it
would be yet another opportunity for all of us to get together, swap ideas
and just have fun operating. I have put together a script and am willing to
coordinate the net, so now I need some input and support if this is
something everyone would like to try.

 

1: What night & time would you like to see the net, I was thinking Tuesday
at 20:30, my thoughts are it would give us a couple of days to remind and
promote the monthly meeting and the time would allow us all to tend to
matters around the QTH without being up too late.

 

2: If anyone would like to help out as a net control that would be great,
the more folks we have involved the better and again more chances for
everyone to participate.

 

3: Check in and have fun.

 

Please share your thoughts and feelings as to if this is something that we
as a club should give a try, I'll compile the results and maybe we can give
it a go next Tuesday or what ever night the consensus is. I want this to be
fun and something we can do to promote Amateur Radio in the area and
encourage those just monitoring our activity to turn out for the Technician
classes Tom is coordinating with the Library
