The CALS building is a few buildings back on the right side. Talk in
will be on the Southern Maryland Link system repeaters... If anyone

Subject: Upcoming meeting and exciting stuff!
Hello everyone!

Couple of things I want to mention about our upcoming meeting this
Monday the 12th at 7PM.

 1. We are going to have one of our very own members talking to us
about his recent Dexpeditions. Tom Clarke (W4OKW), has promised some
cool pictures and some fun stories for us. I'm sure he can help us
plan our Dexpedition as well. Who knows, maybe we will be planning a
trip to Aruba soon? =)

 2. Dwayne Kincaid (WD8OYG) has some exciting information about
antennas and tuners to share. Ever wonder how his tuners work so fast?
This is the time to get the answers to those questions.

 3. The opentrackers, GPS receivers, and patch cables are in. I will
be handing these out at the meeting to those who ordered them. These
kit's are really easy to build and I will make sure that everyone
knows how to program them. Hopefully we will see a few new "APRS
packets" on the air in the coming weeks.

On another note. As we all know the FCC ended the code requirements
on Feb 23rd. While some of you have probably already gone and
upgraded, the first opportunity for me to do so comes tomorrow. I will
be visiting the Anne Arundel Club (W3VPR) and taking my upgrade test
for General and I might even give Extra a try while I'm there. If
anyone wishes to join me, please shoot me an email. Maybe we could
meet somewhere for breakfast and head over to the test afterwards. I
will be driving my Ford Ranger and will have room for one more if
someone needs a ride. Email back ASAP so we can plan.

That's about it for now. Hope to see you all there!

73,
