[SMCARA] SMCARA Holiday Dinner

				Let's Get Ready for Christmas!

Hello All!

  In place of the normal November/December combined meeting, the St. Mary's
County Amateur Radio Association (SMCARA) will be holding an informal
holiday dinner gathering at Nicolletti's pizza restaurant on Tuesday, 5
December beginning at 7 PM.  The restaurant is located in the Laurel Glen
shopping center, 22741 Three Notch Road, California, Maryland (at the
intersection of Chancellor's Run Road and Route 235 (across the intersection
from the Sheetz gas station).

  We have reserved a private dining area, suitable for about 30 people, and
dinner is what ever you wish to order off of the menu (they have pizzas, hot
and cold subs, lasagna, spaghetti, salad bar, etc).  I know that this is a
busy time of year for everyone but we think this is a nice, low-cost,
laid-back way to come out and renew acquaintances and friendships with a
minimum of preparation hassle.  All SMCARA members and their
spouses/significant others and other ham operators are invited to attend
(first come, first served!).  Walt Rupp (W3GYT) will be handing out nametags
when you enter so we can figure out who is who.  I will make a few comments
and then we will dispense with any other formalities and get right to the
business of eating.  We will have a very nice (no-cost to you) door prize
that you won't want to miss out on a chance to win but you have to attend to
win it!  Did I mention that this is an INFORMAL function so don't dress up
to the nines!

  So please pass the word since this function is NEXT WEEK (Tuesday, 5
December at 7 PM).  Additional details will be posted on our web site
