[Skywarn] Greetings from SW Florida

To the Skywarn list serv,

 

By way of introduction, I have just joined the SKYWARN list serv reflector.
I live in the Ft. Myers FL area on Pine Island just off shore of Cape Coral.


 

I am interested in weather phenomena and Amateur Radio. The SKYWARN program
seems to be a good mixture of both.

 

I have just completed the on line SKYWARN Spotter training and am awaiting
to be registered and assigned a Spotter ID number. 

 

The nearest SKYWARN repeater is at the extreme limit of my northern coverage
area. I am active on D-STAR and I participate in the D-STAR South East
Weather net. I was wondering if the 

NWS has or plans to establish a presence on the D-STAR network?
