[Skywarn] Storm Pins

My local NBC affiliate uses an App called Storm Pins. This same app is available to t.v. stations around the country. It is GPS enabled. It is Pinterest style using a map of your local area, which you can zoom in and out on, and you are able to edit your location in case your are reprting from a location other than the one of your observation.

I like it. My question is have any of the rest of you used this or something similar ? What was your experience ?

Obviously our first report should be to NWS. However apps like Storm Pins do give us an extra outlet since the information is immediately available to anyone with a smart phone. Of course the meteorological staff at the participating t.v. station also gets the same information, potentially giving your observation a much wider audience.
