there are 39 other Skywarn lists.  There's a ton of Skywarn lists on
YahooGroups as well.  Most are dedicated to LOCAL Skywarn operations
and Arkansas has two lists.

The USENET (who remembers that?) list has not had a post for over two years.

This list was going to be deleted until I asked the QTH.Net folks to
give us one more chance.

One of the facets of social media is that people start stuff, all with
good intentions, only to have it die.  I've been a member of a number
of Skywarn groups and still am.  For example, though, I have mentioned
the two Arkansas lists and there's a third for the four-corners of the
Ozarks.

The point of this is that this list is more of a National (and even
international with members and moderators from other countries)
flavor.  Lets learn from one another.  Share what's happening in your
area.  As you have training, please share regional events, ex. Tornado
Expo in March.  Local classes are best left to local lists, though
(unless you are going to pay my travel expenses (and then everyone
else is going to want theirs paid<G>)).

Support your LOCAL Skywarn program.  Be friends to your LOCAL Warning
coordination meteorologist.    :)

Since we ALMOST made it through January with no tornado deaths, please
remember this reminder to, in the Memory of Hill Street Blues, "Be
SAFE out there" ... my paraphrase.
