Feel free to share this with anyone who might have an interest in our
spotter training program.

ONLINE TRAINING MATERIALS
- It is recommended that spotters complete the two online modules
before attending a webinar or live class (but not required by NWS)
- The two modules are available at this link
https://www.meted.ucar.edu/training_course.php?id=23
- Training is also available on our YouTube channel
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhzMIjoK81fGyAj0gvvZYRjVHEJ9JNJne
- Download a copy of the storm spotter field guide here

with one class in each
- Use these links to get the latest schedule of classes in map

- Material will vary slightly from the webinars, but still address the
same basic concepts
- Last around two hours

WEBINARS

- Each webinar has a unique registration URL. Register for each
webinar using the link here
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/oun/?n=spottertalklist
- Webinars are open to anyone, anywhere who wants to participate.
- Individuals who complete the webinar will receive a certificate of
participation via email.
- We can provide local EM's with a list of attendees from their area,
if requested

HOSTING A WEBINAR FOR A GROUP
- Anyone can host a webinar for a group in their local community
- Attendees gather and participate in the webinar just as they would a
live class
- We ask that the host use a sign-in sheet to gather names and
locations of attendees
- CLEET hours are available only if the host uses the approved roster
and certifies attendance
- We'll provide a blank certificate of participation to the host for
distribution to attendees
- If you're interested in hosting a webinar, please let me know

CLEET CREDIT
- Oklahoma law enforcement officers who complete a storm spotter
training class are eligible for two hours of CLEET credit.
- This credit is ONLY available by attending either a live class
conducted by the NWS, or by participating in a webinar hosted by an
emergency manager who can certify attendance.

LOCAL COMMUNITY-BASED TRAINING
- We can provide materials/assistance to a local EM or spotter group
leader who wants to supplement NWS training with their own local
training
- Contact me if you're interested
