The COMET Program is pleased to announce the publication of the new lesson
in our Satellite Feature Identification series called, "Inferring Three
Dimensions from Water Vapour Imagery". This lesson is intended to provide
students with an introduction to three-dimensional thinking using water
vapour imagery. This .75-hour lesson provides a walk through of fluid
dynamics from the water vapour channel, showing how understanding the
two-dimensional map you are normally shown is really representative of so
much more.
The intended audience for "Inferring Three Dimensions from Water Vapour
Imagery" is anyone with some meteorological background who has a working
knowledge of forecasting. With its broad applicability, the lesson should
work at all scales of motion. Please follow this link to the MetEd
description page that provides additional information and a link to begin
the lesson: Inferring Three Dimensions from Water Vapour Imagery
