I use TwitterFeed and http://alerts.weather.gov/cap/ok.php?x=1 to
issue alerts and watches @WX5EM on Twitter.  I also have one set for
@AltusEM at the County level.

http://www.twitlonger.com/index.php/main_new is the service for that.
HelloTXT allows an email to Twitter that, if I remember right,
shortens the characters over 140.
