Greetings all on the SkyHubLink email list, see the email below, as we have a new ham below in the Parker area who is asking for some help with amateur radio activities.
A chance for a good “Elmer” to help out! Here is an opportunity to help another amateur in the hobby! A chance for YOU to make a difference in the community.

Hello Cameron, I am going to send out an email to our group asking for some local help for you in the Parker or close area.

While payment will NOT be necessary (NOT part of what amateur radio is all about!), we should be able to find someone who can “elmer” you with some of the things you may need.

Lets go that route and see who we can maybe find, or you could drive to meet with someone. Lets keep in touch and see what we can do.
Thanks for emailing me for help! We will work on this!

Go ahead and if you’re not already get on the SHL email list: https://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/skyhub

Subject: Referral for ham radio setup help

Good morning Jack,

I hope you are recovering well from your surgery. We talked on the phone a few weeks ago about connecting to the repeaters and setting up an NVIS antenna.

I am having a hard time setting up the antennas, programming my radio, and just understanding everything.
Do you know anyone I can hire who would be willing and able to walk me through this process step by step? I am willing to pay to get this figured out.

Thank you,
Cameron Wedge
